Look out for the Vintage Vibe stand - they have something not organ-related but still VERY exciting to look at (I'm sworn to secrecy, so that's all I can say at the moment)...

Subject: [CWSG] NAMM / what to look for?
Well.....
I am getting ready to head down to NAMM . I really need a break from
winter weather and have been making this a regular trek for the past 4 years.
I am lucky to be able to get away and get a pass etc.
Last year I missed a couple important new boards. I would have liked to
have seen the Ventura and I completely missed the Roland VR 700 but as it
turns out, the organ sound is not that much different than my VK8m.
I did hear the Key B quite a bit last year and so of course I am going to
go to see Elvio and the NUMA. It is going to be pretty interesting to see
how it compares to the Key B single sound wise, but I was highly impressed
last time with the Key B . So we will see.....
I am also going to see and hear the Ventilator which will be presented by
Joan Gand at the Hilton. I spoke to her today and really enjoyed the chat!
At least it may be a chance to hear the "Vent" away from all the NAMM
madness.
Joan also mentioned that Gand Music will be carrying the NUMA, so if you
are inclined toward buying one of those please remember to support our list
members first!
Please let me know if there is anything else I shouldn't miss. I am going
to be curious hear the new Roland pianos .... the RD700NX and FP7X, and
also the new Kawai stuff. But other than that NAMM is so big and it gets
real crazy sometimes.
