Subject:My New Ventilator (those who are tired of this topic go to next message)

group - got my Ventilator yesterday. Squirreled away $10.00 a week for the past year. Wish I could have bought it sooner. I bought it without hearing it in person, the Dr. Lonnie Smith video and Jim Alfredson's video was enough for me, along with all the good things said about it on this and other forums. Hooked it up to my XK3c classic system and it made all the difference. First, I played it through a Yamaha 02R and AKG K240 headphones (late last night)and it sounded like I was listening to a mic'd leslie, not a leslie sim. Great start. Today, I ran it directly into 2 Leslie 2121 cabinets. Stereo is incredible. What I was most interested in though was the last listen. I turned off one of the 2121'a and played in mono. Glorious mono. Incredible. I am so tired of playing in stereo. Never had to play stereo in the 70's. Back to where I started, without the weight. BTW, this has been said enough already also, but dealing with Bruce @ Ashby Solutions is a real pleasure. He actually responded to an e-mail of mine on New Year's Day. The external start/stop pedal he is offering is well worth the money also. That also exceeded my expectations, bigger and stronger than I would have thought.
Anybody not convinced and going to NAMM next weekend needs to give this thing a listen.
