Hi Jim,
You should be able to. Although I don’t currently use the E2 as my controller I was investigating the use of it to drive VB3 this morning.
I used MidiOx to monitor the data stream from the E2 and it will send out a CC for each knob\button\drawbar on the unit. What’s cool is that
when you switch from upper to lower drawbar set, the CC data values will change accordingly. In other words, you should be able to assign the upper
and lower draw bar functions to VB3 independently. I am running a Netbook with Win 7 starter with Cantabile Performer as my VSTHost and VB3 as my VSTi.
What I need to investigate is how I can keep separate versions of the midi control mappings in VB3. Currently the “learned” mappings are stored in VB3.ini.
Since I use my own midi controller and may want to also use the E2 (under certain circumstances) I need to find a way to have two separate VB3.ini files available (one for each controller).
I will be pinging Guido S regarding this.
Cheers,
Chris

Probably a dumb question, but could I use my Electro2 as a
controller? I have a Netbook w/2g of ram and Win7 Pro. I, too am new
to this. Thanks!
