Subject:Re: should I sell my VK8 and buy a Nord C2

I did say that the NORD C2 sounds a lot better than the VK8, and if you choose to disagree, go listen to both side by side and compare the leslie sims. The difference will be pretty obvious.

However, I was not trying to stir up the "which clone is better" debate, the point I was trying to make was, "all biases aside", 2010 clone technology is probably going to sound better than 2002 clone technology, and be more reliable! I think this is obvious with the leslie sims, but it's also true in other subtle ways.. C/V, keyclick , O/D, and percussion is also better in current clones but these improvements are much more subtle.

The fact is that by having a ventilator, he's fixed the major weakness of the VK series which is the leslie sim, and I pointed this out as well.

I stick by my statement that the 2010 model NORD C2 sounds dramatically better than the 2002 model Roland VK8. The ventilator definately helps the VK8 but it's still old technology and a lot of the newer clones have passed it by, INCLUDING MY NORD C2 AND YOUR NUMA!!!!
