Roland has come out with two new "backing modules".. they're like a combination of a drum machine and a synth module, with auto-accompaniment features.. one is the BK-7m and the other is the VIMA JM-5. I suspect that one or both of these might have those scat vocal sounds that are in the RD 700 series pianos.. These boxes are aimed at people with digitial pianos who want all those auto-accompaniment features that are built into the performer workstations.. I'm not sure on the pricing yet either, but I would check these out..
