I started into the virtual B3 world with B4II about 4 years ago.
At that time it was as close as I could get to the Hammond sound on a PC. (nothing against Mac, it's just what I started with). A lot has happened over the years and B4 is no longer available from Native Instruments, although I think it may still be on ebay. The general discussion here is that 'Vintage organs' is a re-packaging of B4II, in o ther words more samples. I now use VB3 and credit it with giving me the clone sound I need without going out and buying a new keyboard. You will find VB3 is an inexpensive VST instrument that will give you a lot of control over B3 parameters that B4II did not, and in my opinion a better Leslie sim. To my understanding that is because from the ground up, VB3 is a simulated tonewheel organ, not a collection of samples. You will need a vst host for VB3 and there are a number of inexpensive options there. I started out on Reaper which is a shareware program. B4II works as a standalone instrument and does not require a host. I hope other members chime in, but I think you are in the right place to get a lot of help here.
