I agree with you. Although I have an XK3c, it sounds as good to me as most of the other clones and with the Vent and amplification I have
it pretty much gives me what I had with the half dozen B3, C3, etc., consoles and the truck load of leslies I have used over the years. Personally
I like the layout and feel of the XK and although I use another synth keyboard as the lower occasionally, I really like having the option to add
an actual Hammond keyboard as a lower if desired. I do like the sound better than the older CX-3 and Voice units I have used but I would say
any player is going to find one of the current clones that does the job well as they all now sound pretty darn good IMHO.

I think you and I may have been at the same Joey concert when he was playing the Numa, single manual (no pedals) at a San Diego club (Dizzy's) this past Tuesday. All of the clones have improved drastically since the CX-3 with the Hammond XK series, Nord, Numa, and also the Leslie modeling with the Ventilator and Speakeasy products. I've come to the conclusion that we are now starting split hairs about sound when comparing the XK's, Nords, and now Numa. I think they're all pretty close. The Numa has a great sound, but how much better is it really? The one thing I do like about it is that it weighs less than my XK-3, but I still like having 2 sets of drawbars, which the Numa does not. After hearing Joey play the Numa this past week, it confirmed, again, for me that he can make just about any clone sound like the real deal because he is the real deal. I also confirmed that I need to spend more time practicing on my XK.
