Subject:Re: Numa, Xk3c, Nord, most authentic?
I am convinced that Joey could make an accordion sound like a Hammond.
I agree.. its really splitting hairs when it comes to the actual sound
of the Hammond. Its now all about the playability of the instrument.
And this is where the Numa fails. Again, the layout looks and feels
cheap. The Leslie switch is placed in a very odd location (above and
to the left, right next to the pitch bend).. and only ONE set of
drawbars. No one has addressed if this thing can even be played as a
dual manual organ. And if so, what set of drawbars control the lower
manual?
When I perform I like having the left set of drawbars control my upper
manual and the right set controlling the lower manual. I can change
the registrations in real time without going through a strange series
of control changes to activate the drawbars for different manuals...
