I saw a video the other night of Buddy Guy's Big Band at the Montreal Jazz Festival, probably filmed around a decade ago as it looks to me. I was blown away by the organist - a quite stout fellow, wearing a dark beret, Caucasian, mainly on the B3 and also on an electronic piano at right angles to the B3. He was all over the place, working the drawbars almost as much as the keys, full of glisses, rhythmical chording, and incredibly energetic. The band had a 4 piece brass section. Beautiful sound. Any of you know who that was?
