Subject:Re: Numa, Xk3c, Nord, most authentic?

I didn't mean to imply that the Numa was not capable of handling Classic Rock, it will! It's just that generally that music is a lot less demanding on a clone than doing jazz or gospel. Any of the latest group of clones will do a great job on Classic Rock (using a Vent or a real Leslie).
The Chorus/Vibrato sound is one area that the Numa really shines. I haven't heard any beating through the internal sym, the Vent, or my 147. As I mentioned, on my jazz gigs I don't use the Vent, but if I were doing all Classic Rock there may be a benefit to using the Vent on those gigs, since IMO the Vent does a little better job with it's 'tube sounding' fat overdrive, but it certainly would not be mandatory.
The difference (improvement) in sound over the E2 is very significant, I don't think you would regret the change, unless of course you needed a Rhodes or Clav sound sometime. ;)
