You can still check yours. If you plug a TRS cable into the Remote jack
with *nothing* on the other end, the Vent will go to stop. It has to be
a TRS/balanced/stereo cable though; a mono cable won't work. A
1/8"-to-1/4" adapter like they often ship with headphones will also work
-- but make sure the headphones are disconnected.
