update:

- the OEM power supply for the kurzweil micropiano outputs approximately 10.2
VAC.

- the label on the OEM power supply says AC9.5V - 2.0A

- the silkscreening on the micro piano itself says 1.0A 9.0 VAC. the amperage
could be wrongly marked.

- the silkscreening also provides a DC polarity diagram depicting positive tip
and negative ring. this appears to be wrong with more certainty.

all i know is that i can't get sounds out of it without the OEM adapter, even if
it appears to be powered on and receiving MIDI.

if 1.0 amps of 12VAC doesn't make it go, try more amps. -pc
