Subject:Ventilator Foot Pedal Review

I just finished my third week with the Ventilator Foot Pedal... I used
it on gigs and in my home studio. I must say that I am very impressed.
First, it is built like a brick... well, you know what house I am
talkin' about. I dropped it twice on concrete and it didn't even
scratch. It is really a perfect size as it is small and light enough
to fit in my bag with the hundreds of cables and my expression pedal,
and it is large enough to stay stable and in one place under my organ
stand.

There are two buttons on the pedal: Stop and Slow/Fast. Their
functions are pretty straight forward, and can be programmed by
flipping a few dip switches inside the pedal. I do like the fact that
the pedal can be programmed to your own personal taste... I have mine
set to Leslie 760 that allows me to stop all rotation directly from
fast or slow by hitting the Stop Button. You can also program it for
pulse speed control, true 122 function, and about a dozen other
possibilities.

The buttons themselves have great tactical feedback. They engage with
a substantial click that you can feel through your shoe. Some have
claimed that they are too loud. I don't feel that way at all... I
never heard it during our sets.

My favorite feature of this pedal is that it enables your Ventilator
to achieve a true Stop mode. In fact, it always stops with the "horn
and rotor" facing the virtual microphones. This is a great improvement
on the original Leslie. 90% of the time I play Stop/Fast and love the
sound of the Leslie spinning up from Stop. The Ventilator does this
superbly.

Would I recommend spending $80 on this pedal? That for you to decide.
Considering the build quality and programmability, I highly recommend
this pedal to all who own a Ventilator.
