This ventilator 'harmonic beating' discussion makes for fine gear chatter, and I have enjoyed the posts. From my foray into the thing - experimenting with it - it makes no difference to me. If there is that effect - and I have not been able to come up with any annoyances out of the vent - it is not apparent to my ears. I'm happy with mine - I love the lack of a 122's heft! Good luck in your gear quests!
