I have going on and on about this for years . One more time - one, two,
three.....

Chorus vibrato has been an achilles heel of the clone world for a LONG
time. Just about every clone that I have heard sounds good without it. Mike
W.'s Voce, David Jacques XK3C clips, Shawn Lyday, Joan Gand... etc. etc. same
result.. All sound good and very convincing.

Most of the time when people post clips they are using chorale and most of
the time there is no chorus vibrato. In general the music is rock, and
sometimes gospel.

If you listen to any amount of jazz it is a different story. Most jazz guys
DO use chorus vibrato a majority of the time - Joey D,. Tony Monaco, Dr.
Lonnie, Brian Auger. A lot of time there is no leslie spin - just straight
CV.

And this is why I am so interested in the Numa and Key B. They nailed the
chorus vibrato thing. I heard Joey D. discussing this with Dr. Lonnie up
close at NAMM a few weeks ago.

Dr. Lonnie said to Joey - and this is a quote - that "they FINALLY got
the chorus right". And Brian Auger said to me personally that the chorus and
tone in general was the deciding factor ( along with the weight) in his
endorsement of the Numa.

Brian is getting his sound out of this thing. That is saying quite a lot,
although I can't say that I liked the sound system that they had at NAMM. It
emphasized high frequencies like so many P.A. systems.

Until the Numa came out the closet CV for me was the VK8m. I will still
keep my Roland, but it looks like I am biting the bullet and ordering a Numa.

Stay posted, because I am looking into getting involved in the
distribution of them, so please contact me off list if you would like more
information about that.

No Doubt...the Numa has the Chorus Vibrato nailed.   I love it...but I wish that you could increase the intensity of the percussion.  Oh well, who's complaining...it's an awesome piece of gear !!
