I cannot offer any insight on the H/S Leslie units, nor on quality of support in the UK, but I've been a Motion Sound user for many years (I picked up their 1st product offering, the Pro3, 6 months after its introduction in 1994) and currently have a KBR-3D (part of their current product lineup) in my gig rig, as well as an old R3-147 rack-mount unit. From my perspective, these are absolutely the most authentic Leslie emulators ever made, and I absolutely love these products.

That said, since the acquisition of Motion Sound by XP Audio, customer support has become abysmal. My most recent MS horror story (I have a handful) involves my KBR-3D. Almost a year to the day after receiving this unit, the lower rotor sim developed a loud noise that resembled that of a faulty capacitor discharge. They don't have an authorized repair center in the Denver area and, after several phone calls and email exchanges, MS agreed that they would repair it under warranty (it was just days out) if I would pay return shipping to their Salt Lake City manufacturing facility. I was told that they could turn it around in a week's time. I was still without the unit a month later. I finally had to get the retailer that sold it to me (Sweetwater) involved.

It took several additional calls and emails to get someone on the phone at MS, but I finally did on the Friday before Thanksgiving (US), and was told "oh, yeah...they finished that up on Monday!" Evidently they replaced a potentiometer and the sim board (some three weeks after I got it to them) and let that thing set in their warehouse for an entire workweek, knowing full well that I needed it. Their explanation (or non-explanation, as it were) was that they really don't do repairs there and that they were doing me a huge favor by pulling a tech off of the assembly line to service the unit as their manufacturing schedule allowed.

"Never say 'never'," but it's doubtful that I will ever purchase another Motion Sound product if something else that does what I need is available from another manufacturer.
