As far as using a real leslie is concerned....

I messed with "frankenleslies" for quite a few years and did in fact have a
pretty good setup using a leslie 860 and a subwoofer.

But at this point. it makes more sense ( for me) to use speakers. I can get
a lot more headroom and half the power doesn't wind up aiming at the
floor.

When I heard Brian Auger live, I really liked the clarity of his B-3
through a speaker system. There was something about the presence that was hard
to describe but it didn't get lost in the mix at high volume.

With the Numa , I have really enjoyed the stereo presence of the sim. It's
a new experience...different than a leslie but in a good way. So I have all
that headroom and clarity plus a very neat spin effect on either slow or
fast. I also turn the sim totally off quite a bit and just use chorus
vibrato.

I also like experimenting with different amps and speakers and have several
combinations that work well. Sometimes I take a 15 '' 2 way and a 12'' 2
way and it sounds just fine. I like to have at least one 15'' in there to
fatten up the Numa.

But... the upper / lower rotor thing on the Mojo sounds like an interesting
idea. Why not?
