What I find most surprising about the reports of of the weak extra voices on this board is that they've been successfully digitizing pianos, acoustic and electric, for quite some time now. It was the Hammond sound that was giving everybody problems, until much further down the road. I would have thought they could have loaded the extras in without much trouble.
I agree about the risk of buying a board you haven't played. I did that once, with the Kurzweil PC3X - and returned it.
