I am playing back and forth from my Traynor k4 to my studio monitors--my XK3c and the Numa and my Roland RD700sx all sounded good through either system as does my Casio piano--but not the SK-I have done the update- and tryed the velocity offsets-I really see no diff-in tone just in dynamics-the pianos are thin thin thin, brittle and toy like--The organ still is not up to the 3c and a long way from the Numa (which I sent back for software glitches but the sound was fantastic) I think I'm doomed to stick with seperate rigs--an 88 for piano's and such and a key b single or maybe the Numa again--still have to try the Nord stage 2 compact though--a lot more money :(

What amp(s) do you play through? Have you adjusted the Velocity Offset parameter (its in the Control Menu). It can add (or subtract) some velocity to what is actually played and works in conjunction with the Velocity Curves. It can make a big difference in the way the EV's sound, particularly the attack.
OS Release 4 has an additional A Piano library that loads and works with the original one. Also, when you install the update, make sure the System Libraries are in the System folder. Copy all the files that are in the downloaded ZIP file to the System folder.
Also, I suggest using USB drives no larger than 4 GB for installing updates. I've tried 8 and 16Gb drives and while sometimes the updates seemed to install correctly (a time or two they didn't), I've noticed little things that didn't happen when I re-installed the update using a smaller drive.
