Steve, I'm no "Hammond" expert, but when I got my PC3 last year I liked its B3 emulations so much better than my Nord Electro 2 rack that I got rid of the Nord.
Since then, I have updated to the latest OS (2.03). Not the easiest process in the world and have to very close attention to the instructions, but if I can do it anyone can.
Not being a Leslie expert, I can't really say whether its effect is light years ahead of the earlier version, but I do feel that the organ programs themselves are much, much better. Far more aggressive, and far more 'in your face' than the original programs. Whether this is because of the Leslie or other factors I'm not smart enough to say. Like others have said, if you absolutely must have the best Leslie effect you're better off turning the PC effect off and using an external system. But for me, who doesn't perform live, these B3 sounds are better than any on my Roland and Yamaha ROMPLERs.
