Subject:Re: OT-Barbetta Replacement Speaker-Attn Jim Wells

About a year ago, I went back one of my Barbetta 31c's to have the amp repaired as mine fried during a gig. Communication with Barbetta was almost nonexistent and when it was finally returned to me, it still had problems that I requested be addressed when it was being repaired.

After weeks of leaving voice messages and multiple emails, of which some were answered in the vaguest manner, I was told by Tony that the amp checked out perfectly on the bench and that I should send it back to have it looked at again. I was also offered to purchase a pair of the newest model from him, but the price he mentioned to me was outrageous.I was also told that what was I to expect from an amp that was 10 years old(which it wasn't).

I was not going to send my amp back again and have the same experience I had the past few months. After another period of not hearing from them, I refuted the repair charge with my credit card company and finally received a charge back on my account. A few weeks after that incident, Tony end me an email telling me that I had "won" and that I was to never say anything negative about Barbetta products or my experience, as he would rake me over the coals.

All I have to say is that I have used Barbetta products since the 90'and loved the way they sounded and was extremely pleased with the powerful performance from such a small box. Communication with Tony was superb early on as well. If it wasn't for the abysmal support I received from Barbetta, I would most likely still be using his products and touting nothing but great things about the company.

Buyers beware......
