Subject:Crumar and Hamichord Updates
Here is something to discuss perhaps....
What do you guys think of the new Crumar and Hamichord products?
Apparently there is now a Hamichord sound module priced at approximately 1300 dollars that carries the newest VB3 version 2 sounds.
There are no drawbars with this.... and I have a ton of questions - such as what it take to control it.
I was also surprised that there was very little interest in the news of the prices finally being issued on the Crumar Mojo.
It looks like a VERY interesting instrument, but I am concerned that the leslie switches and swell pedal can only be purchased in a "pack" price that jacks the price up from $2579 for the basic Mojo to $2929 for a gig bag , pedals and switches.
Still, the Youtube clips sound extremely good. But compared to the Hammond SK series there seems to be very little interest among the chat groups.
Am I wrong, or does a dual manual instrument actually limit their market? Perhaps many players are looking for single manual for ease of portability and to add to their set up which also may include a weighted piano.
And then there is the whole issue of having to buy direct from Italy for these.... something we have not had to encounter yet perhaps.... Unless you were trying to get a Key B.
Your thoughts please....
