Subject:Ventura Clontrol
Now that the cat's out of the bag ... :)
Yes, we're introducing the Ventura Clontrol, a dedicated drawbar controller. It has two channel-assignable drawbar groups, two bass drawbars, and each drawbar is CC#-assignable, so it can work as a drawbar controller for any keyboard that has MIDI-responsive virtual drawbars -- clonewheels, stage pianos, workstations, etc.
It has USB (and can be bus-powered) for use with software clones (provided the drawbars can be assignable). It also has controls for turning on/off chorus/vibrato (and switching between 1,2,3), as well as rotary-sim stop/fast/off controls, all MIDI-assignable.
It also has a "learn" function, so you can get the Clontrol to detect an incoming MIDI signal, identify the CC#, and assign it to that drawbar.
Controller setups can be stored as preset programs, so that you can use it with multiple devices, and simply recall a new program when switching to another keyboard or plugin.
The Clontrol has a good weight (not too heavy, but it won't travel easily), and will fit on most keyboard stands' second tiers. USA retail price for the Clontrol is $799 and it will be shipping in October; for pre-orders, contact me or Steve at Speakeasy.
(This will be the only announcement from me/Ventura on this board; direct all questions to me or Steve Hayes directly.)
