Re C1 vs C2... soundwise, everything is just a little better on the C2. I just loaded the new OS and now it's got a new 145 leslie sim, which I quite like.

While there are a lot of improvements (some subtle soundwise, and some not so subtle like the drawbar look ahead feature), there are also some things that I actually preferred about the C1... I liked the C1 touch better.. C2 seems a little stiffer to me.. (but I quickly got used to it, and it's a complete non issue now).. the other thing I miss is that the C1 had a Unison mode that sounded like a chorus effect.. I liked to use this with my classic rock band when we played Itchycoo Park.

Other than that, soundwise the C2 seems to just sound better in all respects (to me).. If you're thinking of updgrading from a C1 to a C2, one thing to be aware of is that the C2 is not the same size as the C1 (it's a half inch or so larger) and the C1 stand will NOT work on the C2.. (although the C2 and C1 can use the same custom Nord gig bag).. but I had to buy a new stand for the C2 which was an unexpected expense).

On the other hand if you're trying to decide between a C1 and a C2, the C1 is a great organ as well.. I paired it with a Ventilator and it killed for my classic rock stuff.. I got a great deal on my C2, and I'm glad I did, but a C1 is still a great clone.

It really boils down to price.. having the newer version and a little better sound, was a no brainer for me because it was only a few hundred dollars more than I sold my C1 for..
