Subject:OT: Roland RD-700sx piano

Hi Bill and everyone responding,

Appreciate your opinions as couldn't hear it in person.

What have got amazed is the new Korg SP-250 and a piece of advertising showing up a section with 7 keys of the mechanical hammer section as seen here

0:45 ( low-res audio) for actual sound can be sought elsewhere or Korg's site

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g0N946OE9qw

The sounds here aren't so good as other demos but shows up the hammer section.

Here at 900+ dollars (GST + duties included) isn't that cheap but far better price / results ratio than a Roland RD-700sx costing three times more.

Appreciate your opinions about this Korg SP-250 compared with Roland RD-700sx sound

Best,

Rafael

Rafael and the group,

My wife uses the Roland RD700SX with a Korg CX3 for the organ parts. She really loves the action on the 700sx, the sounds are great, too. We play mostly Chicago, Blood Sweat and Tears, and Santana with a 9 piece horn band and it does the trick. And as far as the CX3, we don't see the need to upgrade to anything different, and still think it puts out a great sound and is easy to use. We have several old Kustom amps (tuck and roll) that we like to use, and sound fine with this equipment. I rebuild all the old Kustoms and have had zero failures with them.
Bill
