When you connect to USB the Firmware buttons (System/Sound engine) light up.
When you connect to mini-USB the Settings buttons (Levels/Leakage) light up.
So, to answer your question, yes, but not all at the same time. You should not have the mini-USB, and standard USB connected at the same time. It's really two seperate operations and a reboot is required between them.
Were you successful with either operation (Firmware & Settings), or are both failing?
