Yeah, there are pictures of him with the Lowery and one-rotor Leslie he
used on the first record - then they hit the big time and got the
Hammond and 147 that you hear on "Magic Carpet Ride". That was a big
song for one of my high school rock bands back in the '60's - I remember
playing at some teen-age club and they loved it - I remember that night
because the club had hired some elaborate light show from Canada with
all the swirly images behind us and black lights flashing all over the
place. I haven't thought of that in a long time - fun night - great song!
