I doubt I would like a mismatched solution like that. There wouldn't be a bottom rotor and the overdrive/grind/coloration wouldn't be a combined effect of the total sound going through a unified design. I agree with Bruce that the leslie sound is a delicate balance. As such, the solution I think has to be a complete solution, not pieced together, if the idea is to get as close to the sound of a real leslie as possible.
