Get a new band.

The sound of our instruments makes a huge difference to the way we
play. They wouldn't dream of making the guitarist play through some
cheap 20W student Laney amp I bet. Stereo is the minimum required to
get a decent piano or leslie organ effect IMO. Who cares if anyone
else can hear the stereo separation? *YOU* can and that's what it is
about. Run the PA in mono, but make the on stage sound as good as
possible for the players!
