Hi Gary

Yes I enjoyed our chat too. Yes I do have that policy. If the customer hates what we shipped. WE do provide a refund. We are musicians serving musicians...

I spoke with Steve at length today and although we may differ on some technical points one thing we did agree on was that at the end of
the day if speakers sound good to you then that's all that really matters. It is difficult to listen to speakers that aren't available to demo
before you buy and I would always recommend that you do this. However Steve may offer a full refund if you feel they don't meet your
expectations. Steve would have to make that call. Steve I appreciate you taking the time on the phone to speak with me today.

Cheers,

Gary

Hi All

I just had a great phone conversation with fellow member Gary Brumm. I told Gary the same as I told the list. I do not write emails so good. A lot of times what I try to say comes out like a riddle. Perhaps Gary can jump in here & help me out. When he & I discussed the Gig Rig speakers. I did not keep secrets from him

> Speakeasy is the only company that treats keyboard amplification as seriously as it needs to be taken. We need to rid ourselves of the cycle of disposable, "good enough for now" keyboard amps. Buying a gold-standard keyboard and playing it through a combo amp is like buying a premium Blu-Ray player with expensive cables then watching movies on a 13" black & white tube set ...

Why would anyone spend a fortune on expensive cables for a bluray
player? It is pointless unless you are running the signal for longer
distances than the HDMI spec allows.

On top of that, I appreciate what Speakeasy are attempting to do, but
the mumbo jumbo (and apparent absence of desire to deviate from this)
that appears on mailing lists about the products, and the lack of
availability to trial, makes me somewhat sceptical. I've seen nothing
that makes me want to look at Speakeasy other than idle curiosity and
fascination about the range of products available across the pond!
Maybe if I was a pure vintage keys player I'd have a different
perspective though. Each to their own though, and as I said, kudos to
Speakeasy for doing what they do. One day I might be lucky enough to
see some of their products in the flesh, or perhaps even *hear* them!

I totally agree with getting rid of the "good enough for now" mindset.
I am quite happy with the sound of my JBL EON15G2 system, and have
been for 10 years, but my musical tastes are changing, and so is my
gear. I no longer want to carry such heavy kit around (and I'm only 32
- imagine what I'd have been like 30 years ago, but that said, 30
years ago I could have afforded a house with access and storage for
proper gear which would have negated much of my desire to get
lightweight stuff now).
