Subject:F. Darnell Davis "Baby D" on organ/Darnell Davis & The Remnant/CD Release in Minneapolis this Saturday, April 9th

I have often spoken on the lists, when people have asked for suggestions
of great gospel organists, of my friend and mentor Darnell Davis. He is
one of the best organists living, and my personal favorite tied with the
legendary Melvin Crispell.

it has also been discussed that is rare to find contemporary gospel
today FEATURING the organ, rather than being blended into the mix.

Here is a clip of Darnell Davis playing the organ. It is a sample from
our (The Remnant's) third CD. It was recorded live in one take. I am

Lastly, The Remnant's third CD will be released this Saturday, April 9th
and there will be a release concert. I would encourage anyone in the
area (or driving distance) to attend. I believe the also legendary
Pastor Cymaron Dawson will be playing organ.
