My first band in the early 70s was an AB tribute band. I learned all
the Greg organ and piano parts. Saw them live many times when they
were a little more than a local band in south florida.

Once when they played at a club called "The Place" in North Miami, I
sat sideways on the stage between the front of Greg's B3 and the edge
of the stage. My feet inches away from Duane's wah wah pedal.

As me and my band mates were in the front row of most of their local
shows, they probably recognized me as harmless and decided not to
throw me off the stage.

All I saw of Greg that night were his snake skin boots. But being that
close to the front line of Dwayne, Dicky, and Berry was pretty damn
awesome.
