That may be but I don't think that older technology was fixable by just a firmware update so they had to design a whole new
instrument to resolve the anomaly. In other words, it wasn't a defect it was a byproduct of the design if that makes sense.

I dunno, as soon as Dave Amels introduced the V3, he proved it was
possible to create a Hammond clone without the phase issues. I took a
long time for some of the manufacturers to solve the issue in their
instruments.
