This is probably going to be interpreted by somebody as a "flame", but in a live performance seeing the keyboardist sit behind a tiny little slab and belt out all kinds of artificial sounds (like horns, not synth), reeks of artificiality and impotence. The gravitas of a solid piece of furniture is essential if the piano player is ever going to get a girl.

There is a youTube video of Jordan Rudess playing wind instruments through an iPhone. I was fascinated, until the revulsion set in. It was like watching someone flossing their teeth.
