I used to sell Lowrey at a dealership in Hayward Calif after coming off
the road with a B3/122 and the top of the line Lowrey had my attention.
Built in strings and other instruments keyed off the same manuals
instead buying 5 other pieces. Back then there were no laptops and MIDI
controllers.

The first organ I paid for was a painted ANTIQUE-white M. Hated the
color. Definitely not factory paint. I actually bartered drafting some
house plans for it. Those organs look so much prettier in natural
cherry or walnut. What I disliked most was the less than one octave of
short, noisy, stubby pedals.
I traded it to my dad for a full size H25 Lowery, the one I learned to
play on. Before you Lowery hating guys scream at me, it had a nice
console Leslie, and an impressive tone quality. I loved the
Scandinavian modern wood styling of the bench. This was not a junk
Genie model. It was Garth Hudson's preference. His model was two
revisons newer than mine. The only problems were the key contacts
tarnishing. I had to play it daily to keep it working in the Florida
humidity. Now a stop is broken and the complicated circuit caused a lot
of wierd problems. It is unrepairable, and will soon be sacrificng its
Leslie and other speakers for a homemade budget cabinet for my Roland
VK88.
