Subject:Recently purchased a Hammond model M

I picked up a hammond model M organ at a local thrift store. It worked fine in the store, but after bring it home and unloading it off the truck, I am unable to get it to play. I hope someone on the list can give me a few pointers on what might be wrong with it. Oh, the organ is in very good condition but has been painted white.

Also, what kind of oil would I use to (oil it?) for lack of a more technical term.
