My K2vx(s) is still up and running great, if that says anything. I
bought in, I believe 1997 or '98 so I consider that an exceptional
track record; and I've gigged with it a lot. The only real
maintenance I had to do in all that time was to have the backlight for
the display replaced a few years ago, which I understand was normal
for that synth. The backlight only lasted so many hours then you had
to replace it. I had a tech do it for me. I've been actually pretty
impressed with their build quality; that is with that particular
keyboard. I haven't owned any other Kurzweil boards though.
