Subject:Selling a 145 to buy a Ventilator, am I nuts?
I've got a "road-ready" Leslie 145 that I bought from BBOrgan two years ago. It's covered in LineX (rhino lining type stuff) has casters and handles making it easy to move around. I've got it hooked up to my B3 in my basement and love it, except for the fact that I can't overdrive it without shaking the house. When I gig out, I take my NE3 which has a good enough sim to get the job done.
With all the rave reviews the Ventilator has received now, I'm considering selling my 145 so I can buy a ventilator. I'd use it with the NE3 gigging, and I'd run my line out on the B3 into it. From there I have good studio monitors with a sub, a PA, or good cans to run the vent into.
I'd love to hear the opinions from those who have or have had leslies with tonewheels that now have a ventilator. Am I nuts to be considering this?
TIA, Brandon
