Subject:digital audio converter question
While I try to learn more about using the headphone output of my XK3
with a Speakeasy mod, I'm still trying to find the best way NOT to use
the headphone output of my computer while running the VB3 program. (I'm
using an iMac G5 power PC with system 10.4.11 using Rax as an AU program).
Meanwhile, my church just got a Yamaha 01V96 version 2 digital mixing
console and Studio Manager software. The mixer has a USB input and a
bunch of features. Unfortunately nobody there has a clue how to work it.
In reading through the 324 page manual I don't see anything specific
about using it for VST sound modules. I may be missing something, I'm
still pretty new to working with computer sound modules.
The VB3 already sounds good, I'm looking forward to trying it with a
Ventilator. Once a while I hear cackling. When running a sample-based
pipe organ program that problem is more frequent.
The $30-$50 converters with unbalanced outputs seem mostly for
recording vinyl records. I'm not sure I need an $200+ converter just to
use the VB3 at the church. I'm hoping there's some way this mixer can help.
Thanks!
