My take on this is a bit different.

Get a good used VK8m ( with leslie sim bypass) and you might not need the
Ventilator if the rest of your gear is running in stereo.

The last time I posted about with this it was like I violated an unspoken
religion or something. If you are really savvy with your programming
capabilities you can make a VK8m sound phenomenal and your other keyboards will
appreciate bring run in stereo too.

So if you like pure chorus vibrato and a stereo leslie sim I still prefer
the Roland. They are usually going for around 600 used.
