I use the XM-2 without the Hammond drawbar module, I programed my PC3's sliders
to control the drawbars. I then built an 8-pin adapter cable to control and feed
audio to a Ventilator. Admittedly I do miss the real drawbars that my XK-1 has
but its a workable setup.

With all that said, the V5/Ventilator is probably your best choice based on you
price point.

Hammond has the XM-2, it has the same sound engine as the XK-1 which
sounds incredible. It costs under a grand, but if you want to add the
drawbars, its another 400 bucks - still a little cheaper than the Roland
(I think)...
