The whole point of the AMA is to separate tone from volume. A real leslie
gets its tone from the leslie power amp being overdriven. Since those are
40W tubes, it makes a really loud noise.
The AMA has a full leslie amp inside it, but uses 10W tubes instead of 40W.
You can drive a speaker directly with the AMA if you want, but it also has a
line output that you can then run into a clean power amp to set at any
volume you want.
The AMA piece can be bought separately from all the spinning horn/drum
speaker cabinets. Get in touch with Speakeasy for further details (Ted from
