He is now gigging with the New B3 Portable. Substantial enough for him.

Nice read.. :) Jon's one leg-itis is well known from Hammond console
players standing up to work the expression pedal. And he's right,
making the right stab on the pedal has much to do with the genius of
the Hammond organ. And the nagging head trips of being a muso, plague
even greats like himself. A small farm is a great idea. Jon is right
that the first few takes are usually the keepers, has the soul and the
power even if there are a few mistakes. But even back then with tape, a
splicing block was part of the tape machine's accessories and most hits
made were spliced together. Today its known as copy and paste.

I get that Jon was graciously obliging Hammond-Suz by playing their
latest offerings and the adage that a company should be aware to not
let their old stock compete with their new, but Jon having mentioned he
can't see standing behind a clone was much less served as to his
stature to be seen behind this. Makes him look like he's jamming from a
hospital bed. Sorry Hammond-Suz, sometimes a "bright idea" is not
really bright at all.

Here is a link to one of my favorite Jon Lord interviews where he
discusses hip playing techniques. A must read for rock organists.
