Airey uses a chop made by John Haburay of the Hammond Store.

Just to clarify, the C3 that Lord played was owned by Fleetwood Mac.
This was the organ with the RMI integrated and is the organ most
pictured in DP Mark II live videos. I also believe that Don Airy is
still performing with this organ.
The white chop was used to record Machine Head and was used in a few of
the live shows.

If this was the McVie beer organ, it may have been a regular cased
organ and not a chop. Beer made mods to existing gear before he started
chopping and recasing. The thrust would be to find out what these
artists actually used on the recordings as during that period in time,
many were rumored to have used Beer enhanced gear in the studio. The
proof is inconclusive though and sometimes the artists themselves have
lost track of what they used. It would be good to investigate while
these people are still alive and then findings archived.

That chop is present in several DP live videos. It was also the organ
used to record Machine Head. I spoke to Bill about it and he said that
he did not think it was a Beer chop.

During the summer 1972 US tour, Jon was using what looked like a Bill
Beer chop. The covering laminate was something like white Formica. He
had a ring modulator taped to the top of the organ, but I can't confirm
that it was a Maestro or not. The amplifiers were Marhshalls, I think.
I'll have to look at some photos.

So would that make it a Bill Beer?

My organ tech, Bill Axman, worked on that organ. He bought it from
Christine McVie.

He doesn't even mention the Maestro Ring Modulator or RMI Electra-Piano
he had built into his C-3.
