Bang for the buck? I discovered these on my own when trying to figure
out a mic for my studio's 222. It came bundled from MF with an MXL
2001. This was years ago when the set was cheap. Fast forward almost 10
years, I find Gordon Mack tour mixing for John Legend last year used
the same mic for Leslie top rotor and for drum over heads as his
requested choice when we back lined for John at a 9k seater dome.

I still use 2x 603 on the top and an MXL 2001 on the bottom rotor. Mics
are to taste so you've lots to choose from.
