Subject:Nord C2 Stand?
I just picked up my Nord C2 (which is replacing my trusty C1).. unfortunately, I didn't realize that the C1 stand doesn't work on my C2..?????? I mistakenly thought that the C2 case would be the same as the C1 case and it's not.. it's actually 3/4 of an inch wider.. (which makes me wonder what was wrong with the C1 chassis/case that it wasn't appropriate for the new C2 model..
Anyway.. I'm considering getting the custom C2 stand but the information on the Nord Website is a little sketchy and I was hoping that someone on the list had one and could answer a couple questions..
1. It says that the width has a range (38 to 50 or something like that), but does this mean it's actually adjustible or is the width simply dependent upon whether the legs are extended or not??? I'm worried because I DON'T want to increase my footprint simply by having the organ set up high.. I'm hoping that the it's completely adjustable and you only set it for maximum width IF you have the full pedal assembly. Otherwise it's no wider than the organ itself.
2. Does the organ actually attach to the stand or does it just rest on it.. The diagram shows some knobs underneath but it's not clear if this is to fix the organ to the stand or simply tighten one of the cross members.
If anyone could answer these questions it would be much appreciated. Also, your impressions of the stand and the value (or lack of) would be a big help.. the stand is a bit pricey and if it's not completely adjustible and it's not fixed to the organ, I don't think I'll spend the money.
Thanks.
PS... in my other note about my C1 being for sale, I said it was just the C1 for sale.. As it turns out I will be including the stand after all.. so I'll like to get $1900 for the combination, if anyone is interested.
THANKS.. Craig MacDonald
