I wanted my V5 back for a live recording session but Tony LaBrasca
confirmed that it was dead, it needs to have the circuit board replaced.
Dave Amels said he's working on a board swap program with the factory
which might be an option.

The recording engineer's computer crashed and it turned to be a gig I
wish I could forget anyway.

Tony's support has been absolutely first class - he's been right there
on the phone to help me with gear I bought years ago. He's gotten me
good prices and good service, usually I have to trade one for the
other. Dave Amels has promptly answered all my emails, even though I
didn't buy the unit from him.

The simple raw sound of the V5 is hard to beat, nothing matches the
compactness, even the Hammond XM1 requires two units if you want
drawbars. But I don't want to run into the same problem again. I'm
hoping real hard that DR fings a way to stock replacement circuit
boards. Until then I'll have to wait and see. I'll have to sell some
old gear to get the funds anyway.

My last gig is sending me back to the shed tweaking sounds. Tony
offered to send me a MicroB to try out, which might work well for
sending sounds into the pedals. I am eager though to hear how that goes.
