Aside from the pushbutton drawbars, the thing about the E2 that appeals most to me (even over the E3) is its direct tweak-ability. It's more like a piano/organ synthesizer in the sense that there is a knob or button for nearly everything it does. This is critically important in the effects section, where most keyboards tend to bury their effects settings in menus. The sounds are still quite excellent, and the styles that I've been playing lately have not been limited by its tone -- maybe they will someday, so I'll be on the watch for the Epoch as well as never revisions of the Electro and CX-3 as I think Korg has superior software engineering, effects, and features. I would buy a more Nord-like Microstation-sized CX-3 if it ran on batteries and the keyboard had a normal sized keyboard. Carrying the Nord case as a lightweight backpack was a great idea too. -pc
