David,
Yes, you've discovered what many of us have been hip to for a while now.
VB3 is an amazing plug-in. I'm quite pleased with both the straight organ
sound as well as the Leslie simulator I use in mono. IMHO, Guido 'nailed'
the chorus vibrato. I have yet to compare VB3's rotary speaker with my
Ventilator, but the effect VB3 offers works great in my opinion. I plugged
my Receptor host into a QSC K-10 for the first time this past week for a gig
and was most pleasantly reassured that speaker works so well with organ and
especially acoustic piano. I was using an 88 weighted Casio Prvia 330 as
keyboards controller and Korg NanoKontroller for VB3. Despite piano action,
this combo works great for certain gigs where two keyboards might not be
warranted. Good luck with your trials.

Subject: [CWSG] VB3 Software
Hi Guys and Gals,
After much struggle I finally loaded GSI's VB3 software on my MAC, and tried
it out yesterday, and that elusive organic sound just oozed out of my amp. I
had listened to some short clips on You Tube, but they don't do it justice.
I have previously owned the Voce Mark 64 and Voce V3, and have recently been
using the Vintage Keyboard expansion board in my Roland JV880. All were
quite serviceable, but yesterday's experience just blew them away. I just
tried VB3 out using my Roland RS-5 as the controller through a small Fender
Super Champ XD. Tomorrow I will try it out at a live rehearsal with my band
playing it through a Traynor 100 watt keyboard amp. I can't wait to see the
reaction of my band-mates when I put the VB 3 through it's paces. I will
report back in the next few days how the VB3 performs in a live setting.
Cheers the snowy and chilly north,
David Stein
