Subject:Re: OT: Tonewheel through VB3 (or other VST)
I've been experimenting with V-Machine VFX vst host software on a Dell laptop running Windows XP in an attempt to build a light weight rig so I won't have to rely solely on a Muse Receptor. You can now download V-Machine VFX software for Mac. This host application is what you use to install VFX on a V-Machine, but it will work as a standalone vst host without V-Machine.

I have yet to install SM Proaudio Key Performer. I am hoping that one of the plug-ins will come close to the Native Instruments Akoustik Piano I've been using on the Receptor.
If anyone else has suggestions or reports regarding this thread, please chime in. This is a topic of extreme interest. I am thoroughly happy with VB3 on laptop and Receptor. I've yet to compare it directly with my '66 B3, but my ears are entirely satisfied. VB3 is well worth the price. Installation is a breeze and MUCH easier than any Native Instrument product. I was intrigued by the Hammond console and VB3 Leslie effect on U-Tube.
Should anyone have more to say regarding acoustic piano vst plug-ins, please start another thread.
For those in the states, enjoy the holiday.

Donn
